Strategy
Mitsui Mining & Smelting is focusing on lowering the production costs to increase competitiveness in the overseas markets and earnings at the domestic bases. Moreover, it is making efforts to track new clients and expand the customer base with the aim of expanding the sale in the North American and Chinese markets. In the engineered materials segment, the company aims to continue to boost the copper foil business and the catalyst business and increase production capacity as well as start new production lines for ultra-fine copper powder.
