The SCHÄFER WERKE Group is the specialist for the development, manufacture and sale of sheet metal and stainless steel products. As an IBC manufacturer, Schäfer Container Systems can supply an extensive range of stainless steel containers with capacities from 10 to 3,000 litres. It provide almost all sectors, meeting the highest demands of certification, production, transport and storage: from proven standing containers for bulk materials, liquids and pastes, to aseptic containers and ion exchanger units right up to bespoke special containers for sensitive and hazardous substances. SCHÄFER WERKE offers a wide ranging product variety for very different sectors and applications. Using data loggers and a digital interface, VIZUU, the SCHÄFER WERKE Group’s new business division, puts intelligence into industrial bulk containers (IBCs). Container-specific data, such as filling level, location, temperature and pressure permanently provide information on the condition of the contents and consequently make the entire logistics chain transparent.
Companies like SCHÄFER Container Systems manufacture IBCs from stainless steel, but also provide support in process development and optimisation. The product range includes standard systems with volumes of 465 – 1,500 litres as well as bespoke special solutions produced on a one-off basis. Stainless steel IBCs can be cleaned of all residues via a DN 400 / DN 457 manhole. Approved discharge valves and coupling elements guarantee they can be used safely on automatic filling and emptying systems, for example.
Strategy
The company is prioritizing its goal by significantly reducing its carbon footprint, conserving resources, developing or converting manufacturing processes for sustainable production, by operating green procurement and logistics, and optimizing digital processes to identify waste and inefficiencies.
