Suzlon Energy Limited Overview

Suzlon Group, engages in the manufacture and sale of wind turbines. The company was incorporated in the year 1995 and headquartered in India. The company being the world’s fifth-largest manufacturer of wind turbines, is engaged in the business of design, manufacture, development, and supply of wind turbine generators of a range of capacities and their components. Suzlon is a market leader in India with a global footprint across Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, North and South America. The group has 15 manufacturing facilities spread across India and China, with a workforce of over 8,500 employees, who meet the increasing worldwide demand for end–to–end wind power solutions. Siemens and General Electric are major competitors of the company.

March 2012, the company signed a global strategic partnership agreement with CGN Wind Energy Co Ltd (CGNWE). CGNWE is a wholly owned subsidiary of China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group. This partnership will help in the setup of the most feasible projects, globally in countries such as Brazil, South Africa, India and China. SE Shipping Lines Pte. Ltd., SE Electricals Limited and Suzlon Wind International Limited are some of the subsidiaries of the company.

Recently, in 2015, Suzlon Group, one of the world’s leading wind turbine manufacturers, has signed a binding agreement with Centerbridge Partners LP, USA to sell 100% stake in Senvion SE, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Suzlon Group.

May 2023ContractSuzlon Energy Limited, announced that Serentica Renewables, a decarbonization platform, has placed a major order for its 3 MW series of wind turbines, for Serentica's 204 MW wind power project in Koppal, Karnataka. Suzlon installed 68 WTGs with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower with a rated capacity of 3 MW each.
May 2023ContractSuzlon Energy Limited, received a significant order including the new 3MW series for the development of a 69 MW wind power facility for a leading Nordic Energy Company's Indian subsidiary. Suzlon deploys 23 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with 3 MW rated capacity and a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower. The project is in Karnataka and is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
May 2023ContractSuzlon Energy Limited, received a new order for the building of a 25.2 MW wind power project for Sri Kumaraswamy Mineral Exports Pvt. Ltd. Suzlon constructed 12 WTGs using a Hybrid Lattice Tubular tower at Karnataka, with the project set to be completed in 2024.
May 2023ContractSuzlon Energy Limited, received an order from Vibrant Energy for 33 wind turbine generators featuring its latest 3 MW series with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular tower for a 99 MW wind power project that is expected to be operational by FY25.
April 2023ContractSuzlon Energy Limited, received an order for its 3 MW products from First Energy 5 Private Limited, a Thermax Group entity, for the development of a 39 MW wind power project. Suzlon deploys 13 wind turbine generators and a Hybrid Lattice Tubular tower that is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
October 2022ContractSuzlon Energy Limited, received an order for the building of a 48.3 MW wind power project for Adani Green Energy Ltd in Gujrat. Suzlon deployed 23 WTGs with 2.1 MW rated capacity and HLT tower and it should be completed up to 2023.
September 2022ContractSuzlon Energy Limited, received a new order to construct a 180.6 MW wind power project at Karnataka for Sembcorp's renewables subsidiary Green Infra Wind Energy Limited. Suzlon deployed 86 WTGs with 2.1 MW rated capacity and a HLT tower, should be completed till 2024.
June 2021ContractSuzlon Energy Limited, received an order from CLP India for the development of a 252 MW wind power project at Gujrat. Suzlon deployed 120 units of S120-140m wind turbine generators (WTGs) with 2.1 MW rated capacity and a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower.
