Michael Porter's Five Forces model offers a framework to study the fragrance ingredient market. Strategic business managers trying to gain an edge over competing firms in the Fragrance Ingredient Market can utilize this model to better understand the industry. The components of each force and the degree of impact of each element in the context of the Fragrance Ingredient Market have been broken down and analyzed.
Porter’s five forces model: US Fragrance Ingredient Market
Bargaining Power of Suppliers
In the US fragrance ingredient market, the bargaining power of suppliers plays a critical role in shaping the dynamics of the industry. Suppliers play a pivotal role in the industry by providing the raw materials needed to produce fragrance ingredients, including essential oils, synthetic chemicals, and natural extracts derived from plants, flowers, and, to a lesser extent, animals. The balance of power is influenced by several factors such as the availability of raw materials, the concentration of suppliers, and the dependency of manufacturers on quality inputs.
Suppliers hold considerable power when it comes to rare or premium raw materials, especially those derived from specific regions or requiring intricate extraction processes. The limited availability of certain ingredients, such as oud or rare floral oils, grants suppliers leverage in negotiating prices and terms. Additionally, the increasing consumer preference for sustainable and ethically sourced materials has compelled manufacturers to work with certified suppliers, further strengthening the latter’s position. However, the power of suppliers is moderated by the presence of alternatives. Manufacturers can substitute certain natural ingredients with synthetic equivalents or procure from multiple global sources to reduce dependency. Advances in technology have also enabled manufacturers to innovate with lab-created fragrances, partially mitigating supplier influence. Regulatory compliance adds another layer of complexity. Suppliers must adhere to stringent guidelines set by agencies like the FDA, IFRA, and EPA, which can constrain their operations and diminish their power.
Overall, while suppliers in the fragrance ingredient market wield some control due to the criticality and specificity of raw materials, their power is tempered by the availability of substitutes, technological advancements, and the regulatory environment.
Hence, the bargaining power of suppliers in the Fragrance Ingredient Market is expected to remain Moderate.
Bargaining Power of Buyers
In the US fragrance ingredient market, the bargaining power of buyers is influenced by several key factors, including the number of buyers, the availability of alternative suppliers, and the degree of differentiation among fragrance ingredients. Buyers, which include manufacturers of personal care products, perfumes, home care goods, and other B2B businesses, are significant players in the value chain. The power they hold stems from the ability to switch between suppliers, purchase in bulk, and demand competitive pricing, as well as the importance they place on product quality, sustainability, and consistency.
Buyers exert their power due to the availability of multiple suppliers who offer a wide range of fragrance ingredients, both natural and synthetic. This availability means buyers can source from various suppliers to ensure they are getting the best prices and quality. Moreover, as the fragrance industry continues to evolve, especially with the increasing emphasis on sustainability and clean ingredients, buyers are pushing suppliers to adhere to stricter environmental standards and transparency, further strengthening their bargaining position. However, the level of bargaining power also depends on the specialization and exclusivity of the fragrance ingredients. When it comes to highly specialized, rare, or luxury ingredients, buyers may face reduced options and thus limited negotiating power. The dependency on specific, high-quality materials diminishes their ability to negotiate aggressively, as fewer suppliers may be able to meet their stringent requirements.
Additionally, larger buyers with significant purchasing volume are in a stronger position to negotiate better terms, including lower prices, longer payment terms, and higher service levels. On the other hand, smaller buyers may not have the same leverage.
Hence, the bargaining power of buyers in the Fragrance Ingredient Market is expected to remain Moderate to High.
Threat of New Entrants
While there is significant potential for growth, several barriers to entry prevent new players from easily entering the market. One of the key challenges for new entrants is the high level of technical expertise and investment required to develop and manufacture high-quality fragrance ingredients. The process involves specialized knowledge in areas such as chemical synthesis, extraction techniques, and quality control. New companies would need substantial investment in research and development, along with compliance with stringent regulatory standards, including environmental and safety regulations, which adds to the complexity of entering the market. Furthermore, the established players in the fragrance ingredient market have well-established relationships with suppliers and buyers, which creates an advantage for them in terms of securing favorable contracts, sourcing rare raw materials, and maintaining a reliable distribution network. This network effect can make it difficult for new entrants to compete on price, reliability, and quality, further lowering their chances of success.
Brand reputation also plays a significant role in this market. Established companies have spent years cultivating trust and ensuring the consistency of their products. New entrants would face challenges in establishing a strong reputation, particularly when it comes to the fragrance quality that is critical to end consumers’ experiences. However, the ongoing demand for novel, sustainable, and personalized fragrance ingredients does present opportunities for innovation. Startups focusing on unique market niches, such as natural or eco-friendly products, may find some openings for differentiation.
Hence, the threat of new entrants in the Fragrance Ingredient Market is expected to remain Moderate.
Threat of Substitutes
The market faces potential substitutes in the form of synthetic fragrance alternatives, natural fragrances, and even bio-based or lab-grown ingredients. These alternatives can compete with traditional fragrance ingredients in terms of cost, environmental impact, and performance.
One of the primary substitutes is the growing demand for natural and sustainable ingredients. Consumers and businesses alike are becoming more conscious of the environmental and ethical implications of using synthetic ingredients. As a result, there has been a significant shift towards plant-based, organic, or eco-friendly alternatives, which could reduce the reliance on traditional synthetic fragrances. Moreover, biotechnology is evolving rapidly, enabling the production of lab-grown fragrance ingredients that can mimic the natural ones. These bio-based substitutes, produced through fermentation or other biotechnological processes, are gaining traction due to their perceived sustainability, reduced environmental impact, and the ability to offer new and unique fragrance profiles. These innovations could be a disruptive force in the market, posing a challenge to traditional fragrance ingredients derived from plants or animals.
Additionally, synthetic chemicals and engineered fragrances can often replicate the characteristics of natural ingredients at a lower cost, further increasing the competitive pressure on traditional fragrance ingredients. For businesses focused on cost reduction, these synthetic substitutes may be an attractive option.

Introduction
The U.S. fragrance ingredients market is anticipated to grow with a CAGR of 4.94% till the forecast year. The U.S. fragrance ingredient market is dynamic, rapidly changing and adapting to changing consumer demand across the rooftops of personal care, beauty, home care, and more. Natural, essential oils and synthetic components that make up fragrance ingredients are at the center of everyday consumer products, namely cosmetics, fragrances, antiperspirant/deodorant, cleaning and freshening products, as well as products dedicated to care. The market extension is due to the consumer purchasing force increasing in the domain of recreational and fitness recreation the consumer requirements relating to “home ambiance” for the building of the home, and the novel factors of the group of fragrance technologists concerning the provision of on-going and sophisticated olfactory profiles. In addition, the tendency to link to natural, non-eco-friendly and non-animal products is shifting the market and manufacturers have been responding to the needs of eco-aware customers. E-commerce further extends the market by enhancing the consumer's chance of the reach of the industries to a large variety of fragrance-perfumed wares. Moreover, product trends with individualization trends, gender neutrality trends, and aromatherapy trends are innovating continuously. Further expansion of the U.S. fragrance ingredients market is anticipated, driven by increasing sustainability and the advent of novel ingredients.
Rising Demand for Personal Care and Beauty Products
There has been a surge in the cosmetics market in U.S. owing to the rising consumer awareness of personal grooming and hygiene which is expected to boost the demand for products like perfumes, deodorants, body sprays, and scented skincare and haircare items. For instance, as per MRFR analysis the cosmetics market is expected to reach USD 23.6 billion by 2032, growing from USD 20.13 billion in 2024.
The rapid growth of the cosmetics and personal care sectors owing to self-care trends and the growing influence of social media is addressed, which is expected to boost the demand for unique fragrance ingredients. It is exciting for young people, in particular the millennial and Gen Z age group, because they are increasingly putting their weight on natural and high-tech personal expression. They are peculiarly fond of unique aromas that indeed mirror their identity and call for a large variety of fragrances as the world's youngest and most connected generations.
Moreover, population growth leads to a hike in disposable income-making people are more proactive in premium quality personal care spend. Despite the sharp divergence in the consumption of niche and luxury fragrances, it significantly increases availability by increasing visibility and proportions with individuals to express identity common factor among the different purchases of very high-quality goods. Marketers, enhancing purchasing habits by indulging heavily in fragrance and beauty combinations, have identified their weaknesses directly as one. This has driven the appeal of fragrance-infused beauty products. It is a good motivation and appreciation for the manufacturers. All of those explain the growth trend for the fragrance ingredients in the personal care and beauty segment and they might add to the appeal of this niche as one of the most lucrative corridors for the U.S. fragrance ingredients market.
Growing Use in Home Care Products
The rising usage of fragrances in all types of domestic products, where consumers prefer spaces to smell good for substantial periods, and also a pleasant type of living scenario is expected to drive the growth of the U.S. fragrance ingredients industry. The home space, in which products are mostly consumed, indeed witnessed a remarkable size of the fragrance ingredients industry in the U.S. To cater to all such consumers, cleaning agents, laundry detergents, fabric softeners, air fresheners, candles, and dish-washing liquids are made fragranced essentially like a few of the commodities that are discussed here. The huge shift to experience has brought about the need to develop new innovative scents and the actual alteration of scent profiles that tend to suit different interests of American consumers. It is expected that scent cleanliness will be further enhanced after the pandemic. Scent drives the association between clean homes and good smells by connecting cleaning with fresh, pleasant smells. Such reasons have necessitated the introduction of sophisticated fragrance base technologies which are employed by companies to create longer and lingering scents. Apart from this, from customers with multifunction – such as detergents with extra fragrance boosters through room fresheners with antibacterial properties – this range of applications for fragrances within this segment has splendidly widened.
Sustainability is another factor that is expected to boost the growth of the home care fragrance ingredients market. The increasing numbers of eco-conscious consumers are looking for the natural, non-toxic and biodegradable choice which has given brands a great reason to use the new plant-based or responsibly sourced aroma compounds. Additionally, the phenomenal development of aromatherapy-inspired products such as calming lavender-scented candles or room sprays for stress relief fits right into the increasing demand for home care products that render significant emotional benefits to the consumer. Even at home, e-commerce and online reviews have been turning serious consumer sensitization efforts towards more fragrant-home-care offerings. The importance of scent is at the confluence of all the above in enhancing the appeal, usability, and marketability of the U.S. homecare products category.
Evolving Consumer Preferences
The evolving consumer preferences are expected to drive the growth of the U.S. fragrance ingredients market, due to enhanced consumer demand and greater consumer attention to the aroma, the self and the values that guide them. The market is being revolutionized by the desire for unique and individualized fragrance ingredients as the consumer seeks out artisanal, handcrafted and bespoke fragrance products. This trend is the consequence of a transition from the production of especially standardized products towards highly customized, personalized formulations sporting also different scent compositions. Gender-neutral perfumes, clean and simple fragrance compositions, and unusual scent combinations (as well as wood, terra and gourmand notes) are both topical and appealing subjects to an increasingly young audience, whose aesthetic is considered to have a strong element of personal expression and individual uniqueness.
Further, the rise in consumers' preference for pure, sustainable and natural ingredients in fragrance products, is in line with the trend for increased health and environmental awareness. There is a direction of the avoidance of non-natural fragrance components devoid of chemical additives, allergens and toxicants that are making the world of producers search for plant-based and ecofriendly fragrance ingredients. Ethical issues like cruelty-free testing and fair trade conditions matter too in terms of purchase decisions, so there is an increasing demand for responsibly produced perfume ingredients. The mark of this evolving desire has been furthered by the influence of social media and digital platforms, enabling consumers to search out and smell, a range of olfactory experiences. Tailored algorithms and subscription services are both driving an explosion in the experimentation with every possible kind of fragrance and increasing brand interaction. Furthermore, seasonal and limited edition fragrances responding to ebbs and flows of taste and fashion have developed a broad consumer audience as well as a continuously developing product line.
With the proliferation of more health-driven products, the fragrance component market has expanded accordingly, and consumers are looking for fragrances that they can associate with relaxation, energy or emotional well-being. Together, these evolving consumer demands are evolving the fragrance ingredient market, driving innovation, and still inspiring fragrance ingredient expansions for use in new applications.
The demand for luxury and premium fragrances in the US fragrance ingredient market represents a significant growth opportunity, fuelled by evolving consumer preferences and a cultural shift towards self-expression through scent. As consumers increasingly view fragrances as essential components of their personal care routines, the luxury fragrance segment has witnessed remarkable expansion. In recent years, the luxury fragrance ingredient market has experienced substantial growth, with brands like Gucci, Hugo Boss, and Calvin Klein reporting increased sales figures. For instance, Coty Inc. noted a surge in demand for prestige fragrances, which saw growth rates shift from high-single-digit to mid-teens percentages. This trend is indicative of a broader consumer behavior shift towards premiumization, where consumers are willing to invest in high-quality fragrances that enhance their personal identity. The rise of luxury fragrances is particularly pronounced among younger demographics. Gen Z and millennials are increasingly embracing high-end scents as part of their self-expression toolkit. A notable example is the Burberry Goddess fragrance launched by Coty in August 2023, which has set new sales benchmarks in key markets.
This reflects a growing inclination among consumers to explore diverse aromatic profiles rather than adhering to a single "signature scent." According to Piper Sandler's 2023 teen spending report, male teens have increased their spending on perfumes by 26% year-over- year, favoring sophisticated scents from brands like Jean Paul Gaultier and Dior's Sauvage. This trend underscores a cultural shift where fragrances are no longer gender-specific but rather an integral part of personal grooming for all. The online retail landscape has further amplified the demand for luxury fragrances. E-commerce platforms are becoming crucial channels for fragrance sales, with online sales expected to grow significantly in the coming years. Brands such as EZE Fine Perfumes have successfully tapped into this trend by offering high-quality fragrances directly to consumers through digital marketplaces. This shift not only enhances accessibility but also allows brands to engage with younger audiences through targeted digital marketing strategies that emphasize individuality and self-expression. Luxury fragrance ingredient market is witnessing an influx of niche brands that cater to discerning consumers seeking unique olfactory experiences. These brands often focus on storytelling and artisanal craftsmanship, appealing to consumers who value exclusivity and quality over mass-market offerings.
For example, niche brands like Maison Crivelli and Initio are gaining traction for their innovative scent profiles that resonate with modern consumers looking for something distinct. The overall economic environment also plays a role in shaping the demand for luxury fragrances. As living standards rise and disposable incomes increase, more consumers are inclined to indulge in premium products. The post-COVID shopping spree phenomenon has further fuelled this demand, as consumers engage in splurging on luxury items they may have foregone during challenging economic times. The growing popularity of aromatherapy and wellness products in the US fragrance ingredient market is a significant trend that reflects a broader societal shift towards holistic health and well-being. As consumers increasingly prioritize mental and physical wellness, the demand for aromatherapy products—particularly essential oils—has surged, driven by their perceived therapeutic benefits. Aromatherapy, which involves the use of essential oils derived from plants for therapeutic purposes, has gained traction as a natural alternative to conventional medicine. Essential oils such as lavender, peppermint, and eucalyptus are particularly favored for their calming and invigorating properties. The wellness industry has also embraced aromatherapy, with spas and wellness centers incorporating essential oils into their services.
These establishments often create unique experiences by blending aromatherapy with massage therapies and meditation sessions, enhancing the overall therapeutic atmosphere. The increasing popularity of wellness tourism—where consumers seek rejuvenating experiences—has also contributed to the growth of aromatherapy products within this sector. Notably, major players in the industry are responding to this trend by expanding their product lines and enhancing accessibility through e-commerce platforms. Companies like doTERRA and Young Living have established strong online presences, allowing them to reach a broader audience interested in holistic health solutions. Their extensive portfolios include a variety of essential oils tailored for specific uses, such as stress relief or improved sleep quality. Consumer awareness regarding the health benefits of essential oils is another significant factor driving market growth. Many individuals are turning to aromatherapy as a natural remedy for issues such as anxiety, insomnia, and even physical ailments like headaches and skin conditions. This shift away from synthetic products towards more natural alternatives aligns with a growing desire for transparency in product ingredients and sourcing. The innovation in packaging within the US fragrance ingredient market presents a transformative opportunity, driven by changing consumer preferences and an increasing emphasis on sustainability.
As brands strive to differentiate themselves in a competitive landscape, innovative packaging solutions are becoming essential not only for product appeal but also for enhancing user experience and promoting environmental responsibility. One of the most significant trends is the shift towards susta
High Development and Testing Costs
High development and testing costs are a significant restraint in the fragrance ingredients market, particularly in the United States, where manufacturers face rising demands for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Developing new fragrance ingredients, whether natural or synthetic, requires substantial investments in research and development (R&D). The process involves formulating and refining fragrance profiles to achieve the desired scent, which can be a complex and time-consuming task. This complexity is compounded by the need to conduct rigorous testing to ensure the safety and efficacy of these ingredients. For natural ingredients, there is a need for extensive testing to confirm that the raw materials are free from contaminants and meet the required purity standards. For synthetic ingredients, manufacturers must prove that the chemicals used do not pose any risks to human health or the environment. These testing processes, which may involve toxicological assessments, allergen studies, and stability tests, contribute significantly to the overall cost of ingredient development. Moreover, each new fragrance formulation typically undergoes multiple rounds of trials to fine-tune the scent and ensure its longevity, further inflating costs.
In addition to the testing phase, there are regulatory requirements that demand rigorous documentation of ingredient safety and performance. For example, if a fragrance ingredient is intended for use in cosmetics, manufacturers must comply with FDA regulations and ensure that all safety data is available for inspection. Similarly, the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) sets specific limits on the use of certain chemicals due to safety concerns, meaning that manufacturers must invest in ongoing testing to remain compliant. These regulatory hurdles add an extra layer of financial pressure, as non-compliance can lead to costly recalls or legal repercussions. Furthermore, with the growing demand for natural and sustainably sourced ingredients, manufacturers face additional challenges in sourcing raw materials. Extracting and processing natural ingredients often require specialized techniques that drive up costs. As the market also leans towards clean beauty and wellness trends, there is increased scrutiny on formulations, which demands further testing for allergens and irritants. This trend intensifies the development costs, as brands are compelled to invest more in creating fragrances that meet stringent consumer and regulatory expectations. Ultimately, the high development and testing costs for fragrance ingredients limit the ability of smaller companies to innovate, as only those with significant financial resources can afford the extensive R&D and testing processes required to bring new ingredients to market. This creates a barrier to entry for emerging brands and slows down the overall pace of innovation in the fragrance ingredients market.
Limited Shelf Life of Natural Ingredients
Natural fragrance ingredients typically have a shorter shelf life compared to synthetic ones, which can lead to stability issues in final products. Natural ingredients, such as essential oils, floral extracts, and citrus-based compounds, are highly sought after for their appealing and authentic aroma profiles. However, these ingredients are often prone to oxidation, microbial contamination, and chemical degradation, which can compromise their quality and effectiveness over time. This short shelf life creates challenges for manufacturers and retailers in maintaining the integrity and consistency of fragrance products, especially in regions with fluctuating climatic conditions or inadequate storage facilities.
Natural fragrances are typically lighter than synthetic fragrances. Synthetic fragrances usually contain synthesized molecules that make them stronger smelling than natural fragrances. One primary concern is that natural ingredients lack the stability offered by synthetic alternatives. Essential oils and other natural compounds are sensitive to light, heat, and oxygen exposure, which accelerates their deterioration. For example, citrus-based oils, widely used in perfumes and personal care products, are particularly susceptible to rapid oxidation, resulting in changes in scent profiles and reduced efficacy. This sensitivity necessitates advanced storage solutions, such as temperature-controlled environments and UV-resistant packaging, which increase operational costs for manufacturers. The variability in the quality and potency of natural ingredients from different harvests further complicates matters, as each batch may have unique characteristics that affect the final product. Moreover, improper storage conditions can exacerbate the issue. Exposure to light, heat, and air can accelerate the degradation of natural fragrances, making it essential for both manufacturers and consumers to store these products in cool, dark places. Moreover, the limited shelf life of natural ingredients impacts the distribution and retail sectors. Products with shorter expiration periods are more challenging to transport over long distances, particularly in international markets, where logistics delays can further shorten the viable sales window. Retailers may also face increased risks of inventory losses due to spoilage, ultimately affecting profitability.
Rising Costs of Natural Ingredients
The increasing costs of natural ingredients represent a significant growth inhibitor for the fragrance ingredients market in the United States. Natural fragrance ingredients, such as essential oils, resins, and absolutes, are often derived from plants, flowers, and other organic sources. These materials are subject to seasonal variability, agricultural limitations, and unpredictable yields. For example, adverse weather conditions, such as droughts or floods, can drastically reduce the availability of crops like lavender, sandalwood, or citrus. These disruptions lead to volatile pricing and increased costs for manufacturers relying on these raw materials. As consumer demand for natural and sustainably sourced fragrances continues to grow, the supply of these ingredients faces several obstacles, increasing costs and influencing market trends.
Consumers in the U.S. are increasingly prioritizing sustainable and ethically sourced products. This trend has pressured manufacturers to adopt more transparent and responsible supply chains, further increasing the costs of production. Certifications such as Fair Trade or organic labeling come with added expenses, which are often passed down to consumers. Furthermore, The U.S. fragrance industry relies heavily on imported natural ingredients from regions such as Africa, Asia, and South America. Geopolitical instability, trade tariffs, and currency fluctuations in these sourcing regions can significantly impact the pricing and availability of raw materials. For example, sourcing rare and exotic oils like oud or vetiver from politically unstable regions adds both cost and risk to the supply chain. The extraction, processing, and quality assurance of natural ingredients are more complex and costly than their synthetic counterparts. Essential oils must meet high purity standards to be used in fragrance formulations, requiring advanced distillation techniques and rigorous testing. These additional steps contribute to the overall cost of natural ingredients. The development of new fragrance formulations using natural ingredients is often resource-intensive and costly. Meeting stringent regulatory standards requires significant investment in research and development (R&D). While natural ingredients are increasingly popular, their higher costs make them less competitive in the mass-market fragrance segment.
Near-term growth will likely concentrate in modular bioreactor lines and closed-system media workflows that shorten validation cycles while preserving batch traceability.
Partnerships between CDMOs and instrumentation vendors should accelerate standard datasets for comparability across sites, improving forecasting models used in capacity planning.
Longer horizon, organoid and microphysiological adoption may reshape segment mix; teams that invest early in assay interoperability and cloud QC hooks are better positioned to capture upside without fragmenting their analytics stack.

A three-year employee trend is not publicly disclosed. The aggregator figures suggest growth from about 80 in 2017 to somewhere above 100 by 2025, but the sources use different methods and should not be read as a series. Bedoukian Research is a small, family-owned US maker of high-impact aroma chemicals, founded in 1972 and based in Danbury, Connecticut. It does not compete with the large flavor and fragrance houses in compounding. It sells single molecules to them and to other formulators: unsaturated aldehydes, leaf-alcohol derivatives, lactones, jasmonoids and similar materials that work at low dose. A second brand, BedoukianBio, applies the same multi-step organic synthesis to insect pheromones and repellent actives. A third activity is custom and toll manufacturing for pharmaceutical, biotech and agrochemical clients. The company's edge is chemistry depth and speed: R&I reports directly to the CEO and sits next to the plant. Its constraints are scale, a single manufacturing site and limited disclosure. Since the death of long-time president Dr. Robert Bedoukian in August 2024, the company has moved to professional management, appointing a non-family CEO in October 2025. --- **The company's own description.** There is no annual report. The closest equivalent is the boilerplate in the 18 May 2026 press release, which describes a family-owned specialty chemical company founded in 1972 and headquartered in Danbury. It supplies aroma chemicals and blends for flavor, fragrance and personal care under the Bedoukian Flavor & Fragrance brand, and provides custom manufacturing for pharmaceutical, biotech and agrochemical clients. The October 2025 CEO announcement adds semiochemicals as a second served industry alongside flavor and fragrance. **Independent characterization.** Bedoukian is an upstream ingredient manufacturer. It sits between commodity and fine-chemical feedstock suppliers and the compounders (flavor and fragrance houses) that blend ingredients into finished flavors and perfumes for consumer goods companies. Its catalog is weighted to "high-impact" molecules, meaning materials used at fractions of a percent in a formula. The 2026 featured fragrance list shows recommended odor evaluation levels of 0.1% to 10%. This positions the company in low-volume, high-value specialties, where purity, isomer control and reliable supply matter more than tonnage. **Revenue model.** All evidence points to product sales (merchant sale of molecules by the kilogram) plus fee-based custom synthesis and toll processing. There is no indication of subscription or licensing revenue. Repellent actives are patented and offered as ingredients for others' formulations, which could involve licensing, but no licence terms are disclosed. The revenue mix across flavor, fragrance, pheromones and custom work is not publicly disclosed. **Value chain position.** **End-markets.** Per the company: food and beverage flavors, fine fragrance, personal care, home care and air care; agricultural, forestry, residential and stored-product pest management through BedoukianBio; and pharmaceutical, biotech, agrochemical and specialty chemical custom manufacturing. **Catalog size: conflicting figures.** Sources differ and the discrepancy should be noted, not resolved by guesswork: The differences probably reflect definitions (all catalog items versus actively promoted molecules), but this is not confirmed.
