According to the guidelines developed by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) for the administration of hazardous drugs
the pharmacy or healthcare workers should use needle-free systems, and intravenous tubing whenever possible to prevent the spilling of drug or to prevent skin contact from HDs.
For transporting hazardous drugs, it was stated that some facilities transport these drugs in zippered plastic bags in containers that protect them. According to the guidelines for transporting HDs protective containers should be made from molded foam or a sponge-like material to position the drug securely.
