High-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), also known as glucose–fructose, isoglucose and glucose–fructose syrup is a sweetener made from corn starch. As in the production of conventional corn syrup, the starch is broken down into glucose by enzymes. To make HFCS, the corn syrup is further processed by D-xylose isomerase to convert some of its glucose into fructose.

The company is also involved in the Investment and Insurance business through ADM Investors Services, Inc., Agri national Insurance companies, and allied subsidiaries. The company executes its production and research & development through different plants, and innovative centers located in different regions including eight innovation centers, twenty-five processing plants, and fifty-nine procurement centers in Asia-Pacific. Further, it has five innovation centers, thirty-nine processing plants, and sixty-nine procurement centers in South America.
