Market Overview
The global epoxy grout market was valued at USD 1,920.90 Million in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 2,383.34 Million by 2032, registering a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.01% over the 2026–2032 forecast period. Between 2025 and 2032 the market is expected to add USD 462.44 Million in absolute value. The market expanded from USD 1,643.83 Million in 2022 to USD 1,835.48 Million in 2024, supported by recovering non-residential construction, steady tile consumption and continued capital spending on industrial plants that require high-strength, chemically resistant grouting under machinery and equipment.
Epoxy grouts are reactive-resin systems, typically supplied as two- or three-component kits of epoxy resin, amine hardener and graded mineral filler. Compared with cementitious grouts, they offer near-zero water absorption, high stain and chemical resistance, high early compressive strength and low shrinkage. These properties make them the specified solution for tile joints in hygiene-critical spaces such as commercial kitchens, hospitals, food and beverage plants and swimming pools, and for precision grouting of base plates, sole plates and anchor bolts beneath rotating and reciprocating machinery.
Key Findings
By Application: Tile Grouting was the largest segment in 2025 with USD 1,056.49 Million (55.0% share) and is also the fastest-growing segment, with a CAGR of 3.28% during 2026–2032.
By End-Use Sector: Commercial led the market in 2025 with USD 864.40 Million (45.0% share), while Residential is the fastest-growing sector with a CAGR of 3.90%.
By Region: Asia Pacific was the leading region in 2025 with USD 845.20 Million (44.0% share); Middle East & Africa is the fastest-growing region with a CAGR of 3.99%.
By Country: China was the largest national market in 2025 at USD 388.79 Million, while India is the fastest-growing country with a CAGR of 4.96%.
Segmentation Summary
The market is segmented by application into Tile Grouting and Machinery & Equipment Grouting. Tile Grouting accounted for 55.0% of 2025 revenue, reflecting the large installed base of ceramic and porcelain tile in commercial and residential buildings and the growing substitution of cementitious grout with epoxy in wet and hygiene-sensitive areas. Machinery & Equipment Grouting held the remaining 45.0% (USD 864.40 Million) and grows at 2.68%, linked to capital expenditure in energy, petrochemicals, mining, power generation and general manufacturing.
By end-use sector, Commercial (45.0%) and Industrial (35.0%) together account for most of demand, while Residential, at USD 384.18 Million in 2025, is the smallest but fastest-expanding sector as easier-to-apply, water-cleanable and design-oriented epoxy grouts gain acceptance among homeowners and tile installers in kitchens, bathrooms and showers.
Competitive Landscape Summary
The market is moderately consolidated at the top, with a group of international construction chemical and tile-installation specialists—including MAPEI, LATICRETE, Sika, Saint-Gobain (through Weber and Fosroc), ARDEX, Custom Building Products, Henkel, Kerakoll and Bostik—competing alongside machinery-grout specialists such as Five Star Products and strong regional brands such as Pidilite in India. Competition centres on product performance and certification, ease of application, colour range, technical service, specification with architects and engineers, and breadth of distribution. Consolidation in construction chemicals since 2022 has strengthened the portfolios of the largest groups.
Challenges and Opportunities
Key challenges include the higher material cost of epoxy grout relative to cementitious alternatives, the need for skilled installers to manage pot life and clean-up, volatility in epoxy resin and hardener prices, and growing regulatory scrutiny of bisphenol-based chemistries and skin sensitisers. Cyclical weakness in residential construction in parts of Europe and China also tempers near-term growth. Opportunities arise from low-VOC and bio-based formulations, ready-to-use and simplified products for the renovation and residential segments, stricter hygiene requirements in food, pharmaceutical and healthcare facilities, and large infrastructure and industrial programmes in India, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Southeast Asia and Latin America.
Future Outlook
The market is expected to grow steadily, rising from USD 1,994.65 Million in 2026 to USD 2,383.34 Million in 2032. Growth will be broad-based but faster in emerging regions: Middle East & Africa (3.99%) and Latin America (3.72%) are forecast to outpace the global average, while Asia Pacific remains the largest contributor to absolute growth, adding USD 216.43 Million between 2025 and 2032. Product innovation focused on ease of use, sustainability and aesthetics is expected to sustain the shift from cementitious to epoxy grout across both new construction and renovation.
The Epoxy Grout Market market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 3.8% from 2022 to 2032.

Epoxy grout is a thermosetting, reaction-resin grout formed by mixing an epoxy resin component (most commonly based on bisphenol-A or bisphenol-F diglycidyl ether) with an amine or polyamide hardener, together with graded silica or quartz fillers, pigments and performance additives. On curing, the mixture forms a dense, cross-linked polymer matrix with high compressive and bond strength, very low water absorption and strong resistance to acids, alkalis, oils, cleaning agents and staining. In tile installation, epoxy grouts are classified as reaction resin grouts (class RG under EN 13888) and as chemical-resistant, water-cleanable tile-setting and grouting epoxies under ANSI A118.3. In machinery and equipment installation, epoxy grouts are flowable, low-creep systems used to transfer static and dynamic loads from equipment to foundations.
Included in the scope: epoxy-based grouts used for filling joints between ceramic, porcelain, glass, mosaic and natural stone tiles; epoxy grouts used beneath base plates, sole plates, skids and rails of machinery and equipment; and epoxy anchoring and bedding grouts used in equipment installation, across commercial, industrial and residential end uses. Values represent manufacturer-level revenues.
Excluded from the scope: cementitious and polymer-modified cementitious grouts; urethane, acrylic and silicone-based joint fillers and sealants; epoxy tile adhesives sold solely as adhesives; epoxy injection resins for crack repair; epoxy floor coatings and self-levelling toppings; and installation labour and services.

Analytical insights on Epoxy Grout Market covering market dynamics, competitive landscape, and strategic outlook.
The Epoxy Grout Market market is projected to reach $2.38B by 2032, growing at 3.8% CAGR. The Tile Grouting segment holds the largest share.
Demand for epoxy grout is shaped by the level of construction and renovation activity, the intensity of industrial investment, and the steady shift toward higher-performance grouting materials in environments where hygiene, chemical exposure or dynamic loads make cementitious grout unsuitable. At the same time, higher material costs, installer skill requirements and regulatory attention on epoxy chemistries act as constraints. The impact scores presented in the growth factor analysis below are analyst assessments, expressed on a scale of 1 to 10, of the relative strength of each factor over three forecast windows.
Rising Hygiene and Chemical-Resistance Requirements in Commercial and Industrial Facilities
The most consistent driver of epoxy grout adoption is the need for non-porous, cleanable and chemically resistant tile joints in facilities where sanitation is regulated or commercially critical. Commercial kitchens, food and beverage processing plants, dairies, breweries, pharmaceutical manufacturing areas, hospitals and laboratories are routinely washed with hot water, caustic detergents and disinfectants that erode cementitious grout and allow bacterial growth in joints. Food-safety frameworks such as HACCP, the U.S. Food Safety Modernization Act and national food codes require food-contact and processing environments to be smooth, durable and easily cleanable, and specifiers increasingly translate this into epoxy grout requirements. Healthcare construction and refurbishment programmes, including hospital building programmes in the U.K., the GCC and India, add to this demand. Because epoxy joints do not require sealing and resist staining, facility owners also value their lower lifetime maintenance cost, which offsets the higher upfront price and supports steady growth in the Commercial and Industrial sectors.
Growth in Tile Consumption and the Shift to Large-Format and Premium Surfaces
Global ceramic tile production and consumption, concentrated in China, India, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Vietnam and Mexico, provides the volume base for tile grouting. Within this base, the use of porcelain stoneware, large-format slabs, glass mosaics and natural stone is rising in both commercial and residential projects. These premium surfaces are often paired with epoxy grout because it offers colour consistency, is not prone to efflorescence and maintains narrow, clean joints. Manufacturers have responded with grouts in broad colour palettes, metallic and translucent effects, and formulations that are easier to apply and clean. Residential renovation of kitchens, bathrooms and walk-in showers—stimulated by housing stock ageing in North America, Europe and Japan and by rising disposable incomes in Asia and Latin America—is expanding the use of epoxy grout beyond its traditional commercial base and explains the faster growth of the Residential sector. Tile distributors and showrooms increasingly bundle grout selection with tile sales, which helps position epoxy as a premium upgrade at the point of purchase.
Industrial Capital Expenditure and Machinery Installation
Machinery & Equipment Grouting depends on investment in plants that operate heavy rotating and reciprocating equipment such as compressors, pumps, turbines, generators, crushers, mills and presses. Epoxy grouts are preferred over cementitious grouts in these installations because of their high compressive strength, resistance to vibration, oil and chemicals, and fast strength gain, which shortens shutdown periods. Industry practices such as API RP 686 for machinery installation and ASTM C1339 for bearing area of machinery grouts support their specification. Investment in LNG, refining and petrochemicals in the Middle East and North America, power generation and grid equipment, mining expansion in Latin America and Africa, and manufacturing capacity linked to nearshoring and industrial policy—such as the U.S. CHIPS and Science Act and Inflation Reduction Act—sustains a steady base of new installations and maintenance regrouting. Plant operators also regrout ageing equipment during scheduled turnarounds, when cementitious grout has cracked or been degraded by oil, creating recurring maintenance demand that is less sensitive to new-build cycles.
Public Infrastructure and Urban Development Programmes
Large public programmes are expanding the pipeline of transport hubs, hospitals, schools, water treatment plants and public buildings where epoxy grout is specified. Examples include the U.S. Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the European Union's NextGenerationEU recovery funds, India's National Infrastructure Pipeline and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana housing scheme, Brazil's Novo PAC investment programme, and Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 giga-projects. Airports, metro stations and stadiums use epoxy grout in high-traffic tiled areas, washrooms and food courts, while water and wastewater facilities use it where chemical resistance is required. These programmes provide multi-year visibility of demand and are a key reason why Middle East & Africa, Latin America and India are forecast to grow faster than the global average. Public procurement typically requires compliance with recognised product standards and documented performance, which favours certified epoxy grout systems from established manufacturers and encourages contractors to specify complete installation systems rather than individual products.
Low-VOC, Bio-Based and Safer Formulations
Green building rating systems such as LEED, BREEAM and WELL, together with VOC limits such as South Coast Air Quality Management District Rule 1168 in California and GB 33372 in China, reward low-emission installation materials. Manufacturers that offer solvent-free, low-emission, partially bio-based or reduced-sensitiser epoxy grouts, supported by environmental product declarations, can win specifications in public and corporate projects. Corporate net-zero commitments and public green procurement policies are making such documentation a prerequisite rather than a differentiator in many developed markets, rewarding early movers with specification advantages and premium pricing.
Renovation, Residential and Do-It-Yourself Demand
Simplified epoxy grouts that are water-cleanable, offered in pre-measured or ready-to-use formats and in a wide range of colours, are lowering the barrier to use for residential renovation. Growth of home-improvement retail and e-commerce channels allows manufacturers to reach small contractors and homeowners directly, supporting the Residential sector's above-average growth. Smaller pack sizes, colour-matching tools, instructional content and bundled grout-and-tile offers can convert homeowners who previously chose cementitious grout on cost or convenience grounds, and loyalty among professional renovators reinforces repeat purchases.
Industrial and Infrastructure Build-Out in Emerging Economies
Rapid industrialisation and infrastructure investment in India, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Southeast Asia and Brazil create demand for both tile and machinery epoxy grouts. New semiconductor, pharmaceutical, food processing and data-centre facilities require chemically resistant floors and precision equipment installation. Local manufacturing, distribution partnerships and installer training programmes in these markets offer a route to capture this growth. Because epoxy penetration in these markets remains low relative to Western Europe and North America, even modest increases in specification rates translate into above-average volume growth for suppliers that establish early specification positions.
Higher Cost and Installation Complexity Compared with Cementitious Grout
Epoxy grout typically costs several times more per unit volume than cementitious grout and requires careful mixing, adherence to limited pot life and prompt clean-up before the resin cures on the tile surface. Installation is slower and more sensitive to temperature, and errors can leave haze or residue that is difficult to remove. In price-sensitive residential markets and small commercial projects, contractors often default to cementitious or polymer-modified grouts, and the shortage of trained installers in many countries limits the pace at which epoxy grout can displace incumbent materials. Contractors also price in the risk of rework, which further narrows the use of epoxy to projects where performance requirements justify it.
Raw Material Price Volatility and Regulatory Scrutiny of Epoxy Chemistries
Epoxy resins are derived from bisphenol-A and epichlorohydrin, whose prices follow the petrochemical cycle and have been affected by supply disruptions, capacity changes and trade measures. Price swings compress manufacturer margins or require price increases that slow adoption. In parallel, bisphenol-A is listed as a substance of very high concern under the EU REACH regulation, and uncured epoxy resins and amine hardeners are classified as skin sensitisers under the EU CLP Regulation, triggering labelling, worker protection and training requirements. Further restrictions could raise reformulation costs.
Cyclicality of Construction Markets
Grout demand tracks construction activity. Higher interest rates during 2023–2024 slowed residential construction in Europe and North America, and the prolonged property downturn in China reduced new housing starts. Although renovation and non-residential activity partly offset these effects, construction cyclicality can delay projects and reduce volumes in the near term. Industrial capital spending is similarly exposed to commodity prices and business confidence, so delays to energy, mining or manufacturing projects translate directly into lower demand for machinery grouts. Manufacturers with diversified exposure across regions, sectors and new-build versus maintenance demand are better placed to absorb these swings.
Consolidation of the Construction Chemicals Industry
Large acquisitions since 2022—such as Saint-Gobain's acquisitions of GCP Applied Technologies and Fosroc, and Sika's acquisition of MBCC Group—have concentrated technology, brands and distribution. Larger groups can offer complete systems spanning waterproofing, adhesives, grouts and sealants, raising the bar for smaller competitors. Acquirers are also using these deals to expand manufacturing footprints in high-growth regions such as India, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, bringing global epoxy grout technology closer to local demand.
Aesthetic and Design-Led Grouts
Grout is increasingly treated as a design element. Colour-matched, translucent, metallic and glitter-effect epoxy grouts, and grouts formulated for very narrow joints in large-format tiles, are gaining share in hospitality, retail and premium residential projects. Manufacturers are expanding colour ranges and offering additives that let installers customise finishes, positioning epoxy grout as part of the design specification rather than a purely technical material.
Installer Training and Digital Support
Manufacturers are investing in training academies, on-site technical support, product selection tools and installation videos to reduce application errors and build installer loyalty, which is critical for a product category where the quality of the finished job depends heavily on technique. Certification programmes for installers and warranty schemes linked to the use of complete systems are becoming common tools for building specification loyalty.
Challenge: Price Competition and Product Quality in Emerging Markets
In several emerging markets, low-priced regional products with inconsistent performance compete with branded systems. This creates price pressure and can damage end-user perception of epoxy grout when failures occur, making education, certification and enforcement of standards important for market development. Branded manufacturers respond with value-tier product lines, local production to reduce cost, and demonstration projects that show the lifetime cost advantage of properly installed epoxy grout.
The epoxy grout value chain spans four principal stages:
Raw materials and inputs: liquid epoxy resins (bisphenol-A and bisphenol-F based), reactive diluents, amine, cycloaliphatic amine and polyamide hardeners, graded silica and quartz sand fillers, pigments, rheology modifiers and defoamers. Epoxy resins are produced by a limited number of large chemical companies, making resin availability and price a key cost driver.
Formulation and manufacturing: construction chemical companies formulate, blend and package grouts as multi-component kits with matched resin, hardener and filler ratios. Value is added through formulation know-how, quality control, colour consistency, certification testing (ANSI, EN, ASTM) and technical documentation.
Distribution and channels: tile-installation grouts are sold through tile and flooring distributors, building materials merchants, home-improvement retailers and e-commerce platforms; machinery grouts are sold through industrial distributors and directly to EPC contractors and plant owners, often supported by on-site technical service.
End users: tile contractors, flooring installers, millwrights, mechanical and EPC contractors, and owners and operators of commercial buildings, industrial plants and residences, who select products based on specifications, performance, ease of use and price.
