Pirelli & C. S.p.A. is planning to implement a transversal transformation and renewal program, which is aimed at digitizing its planning, production, distribution, and consumer profiling processes. It is constantly working to further develop its digital platforms based on data generated from a sensor fitted inside the car tire to achieve accurate real-time monitoring of tire temperature and pressure, which is quite different to the data generated from a rim-based sensor. This technology is expected to offer a way to measure a tire’s wear using a specially-developed algorithm.
The company strategizes to consolidate and maximize returns for shareholders and manifest increasing levels of turnover and profitability over time in order to allocate investments, develop innovations, achieve operational improvements and ultimately increase the market share of the company.
