The cookware market in Spain and Portugal is experiencing steady growth, driven by evolving consumer preferences, rising disposable incomes, and growing interest in home cooking and kitchen aesthetics. Over the past few years, the region has witnessed a notable shift toward premium and innovative cookware products that combine functionality, durability, and design. This trend is strongly influenced by changing lifestyles, particularly among younger consumers who are more likely to experiment with culinary practices, influenced by social media, food blogs, and cooking shows. Furthermore, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a lasting impact on cooking habits, with more households prioritizing high-quality kitchenware to support frequent home-cooking routines, even as lockdowns have lifted. The rising health consciousness and demand for non-toxic, eco-friendly cookware materials are also shaping product innovations and branding strategies across the Iberian Peninsula.
In both Spain and Portugal, traditional materials such as aluminum and stainless steel continue to dominate the market in terms of volume, given their affordability and wide availability. However, there has been a growing penetration of cast iron, ceramic-coated, and non-stick cookware in urban centers, especially among middle- and upper-income households. These premium segments are often associated with European and international brands that command higher price points. While local brands retain strong market share due to regional trust and price sensitivity, international players are gaining ground by offering aesthetic appeal, better performance, and value-added features such as induction compatibility, ergonomic handles, or oven-safe options. The popularity of modular and multi-purpose cookware that enables space-saving in compact kitchens, common in Spanish and Portuguese urban apartments, is another growth driver.
Distribution channels play a critical role in shaping market dynamics across both countries. Traditional retail outlets such as hypermarkets, supermarkets, and specialty kitchenware stores continue to account for the bulk of cookware sales in Portugal and Spain. However, online retail has significantly accelerated post-pandemic and is becoming increasingly important, especially for premium and niche products. E-commerce platforms, including Amazon, El Corte Inglés, Worten, and niche kitchenware websites, offer broader selections and often feature user reviews, influencer recommendations, and product tutorials, which influence purchasing decisions. The digital shift has also enabled direct-to-consumer (D2C) models, allowing brands to offer exclusive collections and better customer engagement. Retailers are increasingly blending physical and online experiences through omnichannel strategies, offering home delivery, click-and-collect, and showroom-style browsing.
Economic considerations remain an influential factor in consumer behavior, particularly in the mid- and low-price segments. Spain and Portugal both experienced inflationary pressures in recent years, which have somewhat constrained discretionary spending, especially among price-sensitive segments. This has led to a bifurcation in the market, where value-conscious consumers are sticking with basic, functional cookware, while affluent consumers are increasingly willing to invest in high-performance and long-lasting kitchenware. Manufacturers have responded by diversifying their portfolios to cater to a wider range of needs. For example, economy-range cookware typically emphasizes durability and price competitiveness, while premium ranges highlight aesthetics, innovative coatings (such as ceramic or titanium-reinforced layers), and compatibility with modern cooking methods like induction or air frying. There is also growing traction for sustainable cookware solutions that use recyclable materials and minimize environmental impact.
Moreover, cultural preferences and culinary traditions continue to influence product demand in the Iberian cookware market. Both Spain and Portugal have rich culinary heritages, with dishes like paella, bacalhau, tapas, and stews requiring specific types of cookware. This drives demand for specialized pots and pans, including paella pans, clay casseroles, and large stockpots. These cultural influences make it necessary for manufacturers to tailor their product offerings for regional cuisines and cooking styles. Additionally, as cooking becomes increasingly viewed as a form of leisure and social activity rather than a chore, the aesthetic value of cookware has become more important. Cookware that transitions seamlessly from stovetop to tabletop, offers color and design customization, or aligns with minimalist or rustic interior décor themes is gaining popularity. This merging of function and form is shaping the future of the Spain and Portugal cookware market, making it a dynamic and increasingly sophisticated landscape.

Strategic business managers trying to gain an edge over competing firms in the Spain & Portugal Cookware market can utilize this model to better comprehend the company's industry. The components of each force and the degree of impact of each element in the context of the Spain & Portugal Cookware market have been broken down and analyzed.
Porter’s Five Forces model: Spain & Portugal Cookware Market
Threat of New Entrants
Barriers to entry in the Spain and Portugal cookware market are moderate to high, primarily due to brand loyalty, distribution channel access, and manufacturing scale economies. Established players like Tefal, Fagor, and WMF have strong brand recognition and consumer trust, making it difficult for new entrants to immediately gain traction. Local consumers are increasingly aware of quality, safety standards (like PFOA-free or induction compatibility), and design aesthetics—attributes that established brands already provide. Moreover, certification requirements under EU regulations regarding food contact materials (FCMs) add a compliance cost for new entrants.
However, low switching costs for consumers make the market attractive to new, especially digitally native brands. With the rising popularity of e-commerce platforms and social media marketing, startups can build brand visibility faster than before. The direct-to-consumer (D2C) channel reduces reliance on retail distributors, enabling newcomers to test niche products like ceramic or eco-friendly cookware. Still, breaking into the mid-range and premium categories remains tough without substantial investment in product quality, marketing, and distribution networks. Retail shelf space is limited, and dominant brands often have exclusive deals with large chains like El Corte Inglés and Worten, making physical market penetration harder for new entrants.
Bargaining Power of Suppliers
The bargaining power of suppliers in the Spain and Portugal cookware market is moderate and largely depends on the material segment. For stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron, and ceramic, the supply base is globally distributed, offering manufacturers access to numerous suppliers from China, India, Germany, and Eastern Europe. This diverse supplier base limits the power any single supplier holds, especially for mass-market products. However, recent global disruptions in raw material logistics and energy prices have increased costs, impacting the margin stability of cookware brands. Manufacturers with vertically integrated supply chains or long-term contracts are in a stronger position to mitigate supplier power.
Specialty suppliers for innovative coatings or sustainable materials have relatively more power due to limited alternatives. For instance, non-stick coatings that meet EU regulations for health and safety are sourced from a handful of certified providers, creating supplier concentration risks. Similarly, ceramic-coated cookware with anti-scratch and toxin-free properties depends on advanced R&D and specific suppliers. As sustainability becomes a key purchasing criterion among Iberian consumers, suppliers offering recycled metals or biodegradable handles are seeing increased demand and can command premium pricing, giving them increased bargaining power in this evolving landscape.
Bargaining Power of Buyers
Buyers in Spain and Portugal have high bargaining power, especially in the economy and mid-range cookware segments. The market is flooded with local and international brands, private label offerings from large retailers (such as Carrefour or Continente), and online-exclusive options. This abundance of choice means that consumers can easily compare products based on price, durability, functionality, and brand reputation. Cookware is generally a low-frequency purchase, and Iberian consumers tend to be price-conscious, especially in post-COVID economic conditions and amidst inflationary pressures. These factors amplify buyer sensitivity and bargaining power.
However, buyer power diminishes in the premium and professional cookware segment. Here, buyers—often gourmet home cooks, hospitality businesses, or culinary schools—prioritize performance, craftsmanship, and brand prestige over price. Brands like Le Creuset, Zwilling, and Staub dominate this niche with loyal customer bases willing to pay a premium for perceived quality and heritage. Moreover, bundling offers (cookware sets with accessories) and warranty services reduce buyers' willingness to switch. Despite this, online review platforms and social media remain strong influences on consumer choice, indirectly increasing buyer power through greater product transparency.
Threat of Substitutes
The threat of substitutes is moderate, primarily driven by changing cooking habits and new technologies rather than direct product alternatives. While traditional cookware (such as pots, pans, and casseroles) remains essential in Iberian kitchens, certain segments are facing competition from air fryers, multi-cookers, and microwave-safe cooking containers. These appliances, often perceived as more convenient and energy-efficient, offer partial substitution, particularly among younger, urban consumers with fast-paced lifestyles. Such substitutes reduce the frequency of cookware usage and can influence long-term demand, especially for single-purpose pans.
Nevertheless, the cultural culinary tradition in both Spain and Portugal sustains the demand for conventional cookware. Mediterranean cooking styles heavily depend on sautéing, stewing, and oven-baking—all requiring specialized cookware. For example, clay pots (used in Portuguese “Cataplana” or Spanish “Cazuela”) or paella pans have no true functional substitutes. The enduring popularity of home-cooked meals, fueled by a strong gastronomic identity and rising interest in healthy, home-prepared food, protects cookware from being fully substituted. Moreover, the cookware market adapts by offering multifunctional and hybrid-use products that counter substitution threats with innovation.
Industry Rivalry
Industry rivalry in the Spain and Portugal cookware market is intense due to market saturation, slow volume growth, and high product homogeneity. Numerous brands compete across price segments—ranging from budget lines sold in supermarkets to high-end products available through specialty kitchen stores. Multinational corporations like Groupe SEB (Tefal), Meyer Corporation, and local players like Fagor face intense pressure to innovate, reduce costs, and offer differentiated designs. Promotional pricing, product bundling, and seasonal discounts are commonly used tactics to maintain or grow market share, which compresses margins and fuels further competition.
Brand loyalty and after-sales services partially reduce rivalry in the premium segment, but private labels intensify competition in the mass segment. Retail chains in Iberia, including El Corte Inglés, Pingo Doce, and Mercadona, offer store-brand cookware lines that often undercut branded counterparts on price while offering comparable quality. These private labels are gaining consumer trust, especially among budget-conscious families. Furthermore, the rise of digital retail channels like Amazon.es, Worten.pt, and AliExpress introduces non-traditional competitors and accelerates price comparison and reviews-driven purchases. All these factors contribute to a fiercely competitive environment, where only brands that offer a combination of quality, innovation, and strong distribution can survive and thrive.
Regulatory Update
The cookware market in Spain and Portugal is undergoing significant transformation due to tightening European Union regulations on materials that come into contact with food, particularly under the framework governing Food Contact Materials (FCM).

Rising Home Cooking Trend Post COVID-19 Pandemic Impact
The COVID-19 pandemic brought about a fundamental shift in consumer behavior, particularly within households across Spain and Portugal. When lockdowns were enforced, restaurants and cafes faced temporary closures, and people were forced to stay indoors. This scenario led to an unprecedented increase in home-based cooking activities. People who previously relied on outdoor dining or takeaway meals suddenly found themselves spending more time in the kitchen. For many, cooking turned from a necessity into a daily habit or even a hobby. As a result, consumers began to invest more in cookware, ranging from basic pots and pans to specialized equipment like grill pans, steamers, and non-stick appliances. This increased demand served as a key driver for the cookware market, and even in the post-pandemic period, the habit of home cooking has persisted due to its economic and health benefits.
Beyond necessity, cooking at home emerged as a source of entertainment, creativity, and stress relief during uncertain times. Many consumers experimented with new cuisines, baking, and gourmet-style meal preparations. The popularity of online cooking tutorials, YouTube recipe channels, and influencer-driven food content surged. These digital platforms inspired people to upgrade their cookware to improve cooking efficiency and achieve better results. Products like cast iron skillets, ceramic cookware, and stainless steel saucepans gained popularity as they were commonly featured in these tutorials. The cultural revival of home-cooked meals also encouraged families to eat together more frequently, thereby increasing household meal planning and driving sustained demand for diverse types of cookware products.
Another important factor was the long-term behavioral shift observed among younger consumers and urban professionals. Prior to the pandemic, this demographic was more inclined toward dining out or food delivery services. However, the pandemic compelled this group to adopt home cooking as part of their daily routine. Even after lockdown restrictions eased, many continued with the habit due to its affordability and health-related advantages. This change translated into a broader consumer base for the cookware industry. Manufacturers responded to this growing segment by launching user-friendly, aesthetic, and multifunctional cookware options that appealed to first-time or inexperienced cooks, further fueling sales in both the economy and mid-range product categories.
From a market perspective, the post-COVID home cooking trend significantly boosted the overall value and volume of cookware sales in Spain and Portugal. Retailers reported higher turnover, especially in the online segment, where product variety and digital marketing influenced purchase decisions. The trend also catalyzed product innovation, such as cookware sets with space-saving features for compact urban kitchens and non-stick surfaces suited for low-oil cooking. Moreover, consumers’ desire to maintain healthier lifestyles post-pandemic continues to drive demand for cookware that supports nutrition-conscious food preparation. As the habit of home cooking becomes deeply embedded in the daily lives of Spanish and Portuguese households, this driver is expected to have a lasting impact on the cookware market’s long-term growth trajectory.
Expanding urban population with modern kitchen infrastructure demand
The rapid expansion of urban centers in Spain and Portugal has been one of the most prominent socio-economic shifts over the past decade, directly impacting consumer lifestyles, spending patterns, and home-related investments. As more individuals migrate to cities in search of employment, education, or improved living standards, the demand for modern housing and associated amenities has increased significantly. In this context, the kitchen – traditionally viewed as a functional space – has evolved into a central aspect of modern homes. With changing family dynamics and a rise in apartment-style living, urban consumers are investing more in compact, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing kitchen infrastructure. This shift, in turn, has spurred demand for cookware that complements modern kitchens both in function and form.
Urbanization brings about greater exposure to global design and culinary trends, especially among middle-class and upper-middle-class consumers who are inclined toward quality and convenience. Spanish and Portuguese urban households are increasingly adopting Western-style modular kitchens, which often come equipped with modern stoves, induction cooktops, and built-in appliances. This modern layout necessitates compatible cookware such as flat-bottomed pans, non-stick pots, multi-layered stainless steel, and induction-friendly utensils. As a result, cookware manufacturers are witnessing a notable rise in sales of technologically advanced and ergonomically designed products tailored to urban consumers. Moreover, the influence of international kitchen design, often promoted through lifestyle channels and home improvement shows, is playing a vital role in shaping consumer preferences toward high-end, durable cookware solutions.
Additionally, smaller living spaces in urban areas have made multifunctional and space-saving cookware an essential part of kitchenware portfolios. Stackable, foldable, or nesting cookware sets are in high demand among city dwellers who often live in compact apartments with limited storage. Brands are increasingly focusing on offering cookware that is not only space-efficient but also visually appealing, as urban consumers view their kitchen as a reflection of their taste and status. Sleek designs, premium finishes, and color-coordinated cookware are therefore seeing an uptick in sales, particularly in metropolitan cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, and Porto. The convergence of design and utility is driving the trend of kitchenware becoming part of lifestyle purchases rather than being purely functional.
Furthermore, urban consumers are more likely to invest in smart cookware that aligns with their busy schedules and tech-savvy lifestyles. Features such as heat indicators, detachable handles, energy-efficient materials, and dishwasher compatibility are being prioritized. This demand has prompted several global and regional players to expand their presence in urban markets across Spain and Portugal, launching product lines specifically tailored for city consumers. The increased spending capacity, coupled with a growing preference for high-quality and long-lasting products, is transforming the cookware market into a more brand-conscious and innovation-driven sector in urban Spain and Portugal. Ultimately, urbanization is not just a demographic trend; it is a powerful market force that continues to reshape the way cookware is perceived, purchased, and used.
4. 4. 1 I N CR E ASI N G I N TE R E ST I N P R E M I U M N O N - STI CK AN D I N DU CTI O N CO O K W AR E The Spain and Portugal cookware market has seen a significant shift in consumer preferences toward premium-grade cookware products, particularly non-stick and induction-compatible cookware. This transition is being driven by multiple socio-economic and lifestyle factors. The growing middle class and the emergence of health-conscious consumers are playing a major role in redefining cooking habits across the Iberian Peninsula. Premium non-stick cookware is increasingly perceived not only as a tool for convenience but also as a health-supportive product. Traditional metal pots and pans, once staples in Iberian households, are gradually being replaced by non-stick alternatives that require less oil, promote even heat distribution, and are easier to clean. These features resonate strongly with the health-driven mindset of modern consumers, especially younger professionals and families with children. Another major factor contributing to this trend is the steady adoption of induction cooktops in both Spain and Portugal.
As m ore households, especially in urban centers, renovate their kitchens to be energy-efficient and aesthetically modern, induction cooktops have gained traction. This shift has a direct correlation with the demand for induction-compatible cookware. Premium brands are responding by developing high-quality induction-ready pans and pots, typically made with materials such as stainless steel and aluminum with magnetic bases. The rising use of induction cookers in smart and compact kitchens, particularly in newly built apartments and energy-certified homes, underscores a long-term market opportunity. As a result, both international and local cookware brands have begun highlighting "induction compatibility" as a primary product feature, targeting this rapidly expanding niche. Moreover, the rise in culinary interest among millennials and Gen Z consumers, influenced by food-based social media content, cooking shows, and celebrity chefs, has led to higher demand for visually appealing and performance-oriented cookware. Premium non-stick and induction-compatible products are often associated with superior cooking experiences, longer product life cycles, and a polished kitchen aesthetic. Cookware is increasingly seen as part of home décor and lifestyle identity. High-income groups are more willing to spend on cookware that matches both their design preferences and functional needs, especially in open-kitchen layouts.
In both Spain and Portugal, premium retailers and department stores are reporting increased shelf space allocation to high- end cookware products, indicating clear market momentum. From a retail perspective, premium cookware is seeing growth across both online and offline channels. Specialty kitchenware stores, appliance retailers, and digital platforms are capitalizing on the rising demand by bundling cookware with appliances and offering value-added services like virtual demonstrations and extended warranties. Premium cookware manufacturers are also offering innovations such as ceramic non-stick coatings, PFOA-free surfaces, multi-layered construction, and ergonomic heat- resistant handles to attract environmentally and safety-conscious buyers. In Portugal, sustainability in kitchen products is becoming a more dominant trend, with consumers willing to pay a premium for ethically sourced, durable cookware.
Together, these factors are reinforcing a strong and sustained market opportunity for premium non-stick and induction cookware segments in Spain and Portugal, setting the stage for future growth and product innovation. 4. 4. 2 G R O W TH I N M O DU L AR K I TCH E N S SU P P O R TI N G DE M AN D F O R CO M P ATI B L E P R O DU CTS The growing popularity of modular kitchens in Spain and Portugal is significantly influencing consumer preferences and behavior in the cookware market. Modular kitchens are custom-designed, space-efficient, and equipped with integrated storage and high- end appliances, making them not only a functional necessity in modern households but also a reflection of lifestyle and aesthetics. This shift toward modular kitchen adoption is driven by rising disposable incomes, increased urban housing, and a cultural transformation where the kitchen is no longer just a utility space but a centerpiece for social interaction, especially in urban homes. As this trend grows, it naturally boosts demand for cookware that aligns with the design, space, and technology used in thes e kitchens.
A key influence modular kitchens have on cookware demand is the requirement for compatibility and design coherence. Consumers are now seeking cookware that complements built-in hobs, induction cooktops, and oven-based cooking features that are typical of modern modular setups. For example, induction-compatible cookware made of ferrous materials like stainless steel or hard- anodized aluminum is witnessing greater demand. Likewise, cookware with detachable handles, stackable designs, and aesthetically pleasing finishes are preferred due to their space-saving attributes and visual alignment with the sleek lines and finishes of modular kitchen layouts. Consumers are also looking for sets that can seamlessly transition from cooking to servi ng, eliminating the need for transferring food between containers, which aligns with modular kitchens’ functionality-focused design. Moreover, the influence of European design aesthetics, marked by minimalism, functionality, and quality craftsmanship—is becoming more evident in consumer cookware preferences. In Portugal and Spain, the middle-income and upper-middle-income groups are increasingly drawn toward European and domestic brands that offer visually appealing, space-optimized, and technologically advanced cookware lines. With kitchen real estate in urban apa
High competition from low-cost imported cookware brands
The cookware market in Spain and Portugal is experiencing increasing pressure from imported brands, particularly those originating from low-cost manufacturing hubs such as China, India, and certain Southeast Asian countries. These imported products often come at significantly lower price points than domestically manufactured or premium international brands. As a result, they appeal strongly to price-sensitive consumers, particularly in the middle- and lower-income brackets who prioritize affordability over brand reputation, innovation, or longevity. This growing consumer base seeking inexpensive alternatives intensifies the price competition in the market and diminishes brand loyalty, thereby restraining growth opportunities for premium and mid-range cookware manufacturers.
This competition has created a challenging landscape for domestic and European brands that produce higher-quality cookware using superior materials such as stainless steel, hard-anodized aluminum, or ceramic coatings. These brands generally operate under tighter regulatory standards related to safety, sustainability, and labor, and consequently incur higher production costs. When placed alongside budget imports on retail shelves, these brands struggle to justify their higher prices unless they possess very strong branding or are positioned as luxury kitchenware. Additionally, aggressive pricing strategies from foreign manufacturers, including bulk shipments and private-label partnerships with large retailers, allow imported brands to quickly gain shelf space and online market share, further compounding the difficulty for local players to maintain their margins or scale their operations.
Moreover, the prevalence of online marketplaces like Amazon, AliExpress, and regional e-commerce platforms has accelerated the penetration of imported cookware brands into the Iberian market. These platforms allow international sellers to directly reach Spanish and Portuguese consumers without requiring a local distribution network. Many consumers, especially younger households or first-time buyers, opt for these affordable online options without much brand awareness or loyalty. In many cases, these imported products are aesthetically appealing and functionally sufficient for casual cooking needs, which reduces the incentive for customers to pay more for branded or premium cookware. This trend, while beneficial for consumers in the short term, erodes pricing power and market differentiation for established cookware brands.
Further, this situation is further exacerbated by the ongoing economic challenges in the region, such as moderate GDP growth, high inflation in recent years, and the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on household income. In such an environment, consumers tend to delay discretionary purchases or opt for the most economical alternatives available. Cookware, being a largely non-cyclical and long-lasting household item, is not replaced frequently. When the time comes to replace or purchase cookware, the decision is increasingly driven by price rather than brand heritage or material quality. This dynamic makes it difficult for domestic and European brands to grow their market share or improve their margins without resorting to significant cost-cutting, thereby limiting innovation, sustainability initiatives, and long-term competitiveness.
Slow Replacement Cycle Due to Durable Product Lifespan
One of the most significant restraints in the cookware market of Spain and Portugal is the inherently slow product replacement cycle, largely attributed to the long lifespan of cookware products. Consumers in these markets typically purchase cookware that is built to last for many years, often a decade or more, particularly when it comes to stainless steel pots, cast iron pans, and premium non-stick varieties. The cultural emphasis on quality and long-term value drives consumers to invest in cookware that doesn't need frequent replacement. As a result, the frequency of repeat purchases is low, especially in middle-income and older households who already own complete cookware sets. This creates a natural saturation in the market, limiting consistent year-on-year volume growth for manufacturers and retailers alike.
Moreover, the high durability of cookware reduces the urgency for consumers to explore newer offerings unless a product becomes damaged or obsolete. For example, traditional cooking methods are deeply rooted in the Iberian Peninsula's culinary practices, and families often retain inherited cookware, especially cast iron or copper-based utensils, for generations. This cultural tendency towards preservation over replacement further slows down the natural replenishment cycle in the market. Even when new materials or technologies are introduced, such as ceramic-coated or induction-compatible cookware, consumers may not feel the need to upgrade unless these innovations align with a major lifestyle shift or appliance change, such as switching to an induction stove.
Additionally, cookware is not typically considered a fast-fashion or trend-sensitive category. Unlike electronics or fashion accessories, it lacks a strong aspirational pull that might otherwise drive impulsive or trend-driven purchases. Seasonal promotions or influencer-led campaigns may trigger sales spikes, but these tend to be temporary and don’t significantly shift the overall replacement rate. In many households, especially among older age groups or in rural areas of Spain and Portugal, cookware is perceived more as a utilitarian investment than a lifestyle statement. This makes it harder for brands to capitalize on emotional marketing or to create demand based solely on aesthetics or branding.
From a business standpoint, the slow replacement cycle presents challenges for manufacturers aiming to sustain growth in mature markets like Spain and Portugal. Companies must rely heavily on attracting new households, such as young couples setting up homes or first-time renters—or on upselling premium products to affluent consumers seeking better cooking performance. This narrows the addressable market segment and increases customer acquisition costs. Without rapid obsolescence or wear-and-tear, companies cannot rely on built-in obsolescence to boost sales, which is a common strategy in categories like smartphones or small home appliances. As a result, firms must focus on differentiation through quality, safety, health benefits, and compatibility with modern kitchen systems. However, even these efforts face limitations if the core consumer mindset remains centered on durability and longevity rather than frequent replacement.
The Spain and Portugal cookware market has seen a significant shift in consumer preferences toward premium-grade cookware products, particularly non-stick and induction-compatible cookware.
Near-term growth will likely concentrate in modular bioreactor lines and closed-system media workflows that shorten validation cycles while preserving batch traceability.
Partnerships between CDMOs and instrumentation vendors should accelerate standard datasets for comparability across sites, improving forecasting models used in capacity planning.
Longer horizon, organoid and microphysiological adoption may reshape segment mix; teams that invest early in assay interoperability and cloud QC hooks are better positioned to capture upside without fragmenting their analytics stack.
